Gardening & the "Museum"

Breakfast and Read Aloud
We started out our day once again by walking over to Kingdom house. We then ate breakfast and did our songs and dances with the kids. The read aloud for today was presented by the founder of Build a Bear. She had an inspirational message to follow.

​Service
Next, our group split up jobs in the garden including harvesting, watering, planting, and weeding. After, we made our way over to one of the Peter and Paul facilities. They supply homes and support for people chronically homeless. There, we listened to a man's story about how Peter and Paul helped him after he was homeless for 9 years. After, we complete a quick service of making sandwiches for the homeless men in another facility.

​Museum
Last, we went to a "museum" which was the most elaborate playground/ jungle gym we've ever seen. Complete with a 10 story slide and ferris wheel on the roof. Tonight Allie, Kaylie, Kaylee, Alex, Joey, and Mathew are making Mac and Cheese and hot dogs. Then we will have a team meeting and play a group game before bed. ​
