Carnival, Groceries and Gardening

​Kingdom House and Carnival
To start the day we once again went over to Kingdom house and ate breakfast with the kids. Next we set up for a carnival for kids ages 3-5 and after we were set up we played with the kids who are 1 and 2. With the youngest of the kids we played with chalk and bubbles. But on the other hand with the older kids we played ball toss, water balloon toss, a sponge and bucket game, and at a water station. All of us ACE students were soaked! After all of this went on we picked up the mess and came back to the house for lunch.  

Groceries
Once we finished the carnival and lunch we did a learning experience lesson that had to do with budgeting while your shopping. During this activity we simulated shopping for a family of six for 3 days on a budget. We were on 2 teams and went to 2 different stores that were very different. We then met back at the house and compared our meals and prices.

Bodega and Gardening
After the learning experience we went back to Kingdom house and helped out with the bodega and once again helped out with gardening. In the bodega Abby, Matthew, Adam, and Andrew  worked on organizing clothes and restocking shelves. On the other hand Joey, Alex, Kaylee, Kaylie, Allie, and Emma worked on weeding, trimming, and watering.

End of the day
Once we finished everything we came back to the house and will soon be ordering pizza. Then we will do a quick reflection.
